Answered Can't open virtual xp

    I tried to start virtual xp from my windows 7 pro but I get just a black screen, which does nothing I then tried to start the virtual xp in safe mode. I got the normall list of options, clicked on safe mode, then selected windows xp and the normal scroll of files commenced but hung after the firt few lines.

    Please advise

    Hi,


    Based on my research, please try the following:


    1. Try last known good configuration and see how it works.


    2. Remove the Windows XP Mode.vsv file under %systemdrive%\Users\<username>\ AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines.


    If issue persists, I’m afraid that you may need to reinstall  Windows XP Mode.
