Locked VIA HD onboard audio not working with Windows 8 CP, latest drivers from VIA are installed

    Windows 8 CP, Asus M4A88T-M motherboard. Via HD Vinyl audio VT1708S

    The driver installs on compability mode, every sound attempted comes out as noise.

      Try update your Windows and install all updates, check compatibility status of your device on:

      http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/en-US/CompatCenter/Home

      If it not listed there, contact the manufacturer and report this issue.

        Its very simple to install previous drivers on windows 8 CP..

        you have to search for driver files in the device manager audio section.

        Once you searched, its done.. Try and reply

          Hellow

          Download asus drivers (i used 8800 version)

          ->Right click on My computer

          ->Properties

          ->Device manager

          -> Sound ...

          ->Right click on your Via Sound ...

          ->Update 

          ->Browse my computer

          -> Let me pick 

          -> Go to your drivers folder->Present->Drivers->HDx64 (for x64  windows)-> viahdb ( I personaly tested viahdb and viahdb5)

          -> It work's 100% percent in Win 8 CP and RP
