Locked IGMP Multicast disabled on Windows 8??

    I need help Microsoft. Can you please answer this question. Is IGMP disabled in Windows 8 ?? I cannot get my Windows 8 client to receive multicasts over Wireless. Over wired it works.   If I put in the IGMP registry fix then multicasts start working on wireless.  This makes no sense, because if it is enabled on wired network shouldn't it be enabled on wireless network too?

      IGMP is disabled by default. Currently there are no articles to explain the reasons. If there is any update I will post here.

        If it is disabled, then why can I multicast over the wired network?

          It is important to note that once I put in the reg fix, then only SOME multicasts worked not all.
