Does anyone out there know if there is a difference between Win7 and Win8 where I could run batch files in my automated tests on virtual XP/Vista/Win7, but can't run the exact same ones on virtual Win 8 Consumer Preview?

I have automated tests set up to do things like run batch files (for an example) remotely on virtual machines (VMware Workstation 8).  I can run the batch files on all the platforms (which are also all virtual machines) but when I try on Win8 Consumer Preview the test hangs because something is not allowing the batch script to run - yet if you launch the batch file on the virtual machine itself, it will run.

To the best of my knowledge I have set the Win8 virtual machine up the same as all the others - but I may be missing something.

    Anyone have any ideas?

It can be caused by several reasons. You should tell us which step cannot process. Add some flags in script can help you to check.
