IRM Srcipt Errors when opening IRM protected files in Office 2010

Can anyone please help with the following:-
>when opening a file that has IRM protection.. it says, the workbook as restricted permission and prompts me to get credentials (so far I understand this)...
>say yes then prompted with a service sign up box
?I say yes, then yes to I have windows Live ID
>type in my details, and click sign in
>as soon as I do that....
>I'm prompted with a Script Error dialog box stating:
>an error has occurred in the script on this page
>line 20
>char 3
>url
I cant get past this prompt and therefore unable to gain access to my files protected with IRM.
I am using Windows 8 Preview and I.E.10
