I'm also having problems with one care.  If you install windows defender, you will be directed to uninstall and reinstall one care.  I've been working since last night and I'm giving up in frustration.  It all started with trying to update malware definitions.  I now don't have one care on one of my computers and I think that it means my previous backups are useless.  There is a button on the upper right to contact one care support, when you open up one care.  This assumes, of course, that you didn't uninstall one care yet.

I forgot to mention that I have tried, unsuccessfully and several times, to reinstall one care from the disk.  And one care says I have no subscription associated and it won't let me do so.  I do have an active subscription, paid until January 2010.  Needless to say, I won't purchase this, or any other similar products, again.

Hi Jake.  Still trying?  I finally had to uninstall defender and download the free trial version of one care.  In order to get all the features I had to sign up for a new live.com user id and then associate my computer with this "new" subscription, since it didn't like my existing live.com id.  It worked, but what a hassle.  The trial version will take me about to the end of my paid subscription, so it's a wash.

I just rechecked and now it tells me I have only one day.  now I'm going to look for a different product, since Microsoft does not seem to want to keep current subscribers.
