Backup dont work in Windows 2008 Server
- I am getting an error when I try to backup a windows 2008 R2 Server relative to Volume Shadow Copy with error code '2155348001' and the backup dont start.
the server has an hyper-V Role and when i "execute vssadmin list writers" there is an error about the Hyper-V VSS Writer. Here's the output:
Writer name: 'Microsoft Hyper-V VSS Writer'
Writer Id: {66841cd4-6ded-4f4b-8f17-fd23f8ddc3de}
Writer Instance Id: {b04f70a5-4a55-4d01-b1e2-1a3b83071be8}
State: [11] Failed
Last error: Retryable error
Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance for the help and sorry for my bad english, i'm italian.

- please share events in application & services logs->microsoft->windows->hyperv-vmms
------- this information is provided as-is without any warranties, implicit or explicit. - The only error event listed in that log is:
Impossibile ripristinare lo snapshot del Servizio Copia Shadow del volume in uno o più dischi rigidi virtuali della macchina virtuale '%1'. (ID macchina virtuale %2)
In English:
Unable to restore snapshot of the Volume Shadow Copy Service in one or more virtual hard disks of the virtual machine '%1'.(virtual machine ID %2)
Thanks For the help
start menu->type cmd->right click cmd.exe->run as administrator
mountvol /E
retry backup and see if that solves the issues

Event View of Windows Server Backup lists an error after trying to start backup:
Backup started at '28 / 10/2009 11:33:59 'failed. Volume Shadow copy operation failed for backup volumes. Error code '2155348001 '. Solve the problem, then rerun the backup.- can you please send mail to sbaid_at_microsoft.com (replace _at_ with @ )- i will share some diagnostic tool to collect more data to help resolve the issue.
please see guest VM event logs also to see failures. Also check whether integration services are installed in the guest VM. you can verify this by seeing properties of the running VM in the servermanager. look for "integration services" in the properties dialog.
assuming you are running w2k8 R2 RTM version.
