    Hi,

when will Windows 8 (the RTM Version) be supported by Windows Intune?

As mentioned by Microsoft Windows 8 will be available for Software Asurance Customers on 20.08.2012. Will it also be supported by Windows Intune at this time?

Or do we realy have to wait for the next Intune release?

What is with Intune V2 customers? I have many Customers still running on Intune V2. Will they also get Support for Windows 8 or will they leave V3 out?

I Little bit more information on the Intune Roadmap would realy be gread!

    Hi Michael,

Windows Intune will support Windows 8 sometime after it is generally available.  For more information please review this post:

    Hi,

so Microsoft says one of the 3 Main Features of Windows Intune is the included SA so that you alway get the latest os version just after rtm.

The only problem is that without Windows Intune  support for this version the ability to get this version is useless for customers.

It's ok when Windows Intune supports Windows 8 at the date it is generelly available but just to say some time after is a problem for partners. What should we say to customers asking for Windows 8?

The same is with the release of Intune V3. Microsoft announced that there will be a update every 6 months. ok, the update arrived a little bit too late. No real problem, but what's the use of the update when no existing customer has still got this update.

The only impact for me is that now i have 2 Dashboards to check every day. One for new customers and one for the rest.

Don`t try to be like Apple too much. Please tell at least your partners what you are planing to do. There is a reason why we are MS-Partners and not Apple-Partners.

existing v2 customers should have been upgraded to v3 by now.

Yes, v3 doesnt tecnically support W8 (yet) but you can still run W7 Enterprise and upgrade to Windows 8 Enterprise at any time.

    Hello Jon Lynn,

    Question!

This week i recieved my Microsoft Surface RT tablet PC with internet explorer 10 on it. When i go to the Intune administration portal i see this. and click on Beheerdersconsole (administration console).

After this i see that the site is using silverlight and i cannot use silverlight on my Microsoft made Windows Surface RT computer.

Do you know if the Intune administration portal will be converted to html 5 in the near future?

    Hi,

I do not have any details at this time.  Unfortunately you won't be able to open the Admin Console on Windows RT as they do not have a Silverlight client.

    Thanks,
