    Hi,

I have successfully enrolled iOS 5 - iPad to my Windows Intune Wave D. But, i cant collect the inventory nor push policy to the iPAD.

Last updated time this 11.55am. Now is 6.37pm, i still cannot receive any iOS inventory and the iPad still cannot receive the policy which i targeted to iOS group. Anyone got any ideas? Please share your experience with me, thanks.

    Hi,

iOS Policy updates every 24 hours or after you've installed an application.  Depending when you applied the policy (example, if you created your policy after enrolling your device) the policy will update on a random interval every 24 hours.

Let me know if the policy hasn't updated after 24 hours.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jon L.,

My iOS dint update in my Windows Intune console after 24hrs. Anyway can force the inventory cycle? if the cycle is at 12pm, the iOS device is not online, is tat mean i have missed the cycle and got to wait until the next day 12pm.

From what i observed, my Windows 7 device inventory is very up-to-date.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I believe if you miss the check point because you are offline it will wait until the next check point to update policy. (I'll confirm this on Monday)

If you install an application on your iOS device via Windows Intune it will push updated policy as well.

    Thanks,

    Hi Peichen,

I just enrolled a test iPhone device and it reported back all the inventory immediately.  I would suggest removing and re-enrolling the device.

    Example from my test device

    Hi Jon L.,

Thanks!! I tried to install Windows Intune agent on other iOS devices, the agent is working fine and able to report back the hardware inventory.

Btw, my iOS 5.0 cant report back the inventory. i able to install windows intune agent on iOS 5.0 and has the management profile in my iOS 5, however, the device cant report back to Windows Intune console.
