I have been looking into on "how to search a word or phrase in a file on windows server 2008", similar to that of Windows XP and I have not been able to find this very useful functionality. I wondered if this functionality has been taken off from Windows Server 2008 or I have not been able to work out how to do it? Would be grateful if someone could please help?

Hi, have you tried the advanced search by going to the Start\Search\For Files and Folders? It is located on the right side of the window.

You can install Windows Desktop Search for Windows Server 2008 (http://download.microsoft.com/download/3/7/F/37F0E553-3623-4DC8-90DD-1C4AC3F6E158/Windows6.0-KB940157-x86.msu)
