During 2003-2008 migration do gpo's migrate also?

  Group Policy Objects (GPOs) will be migrated without problems.
  However, the following two actions are recommended before migrating:

  1. Run adprep /domainprep /gpprep
     Although the gpprep switch is only required when migrating from Windows 2000 Active Directory infrastructures, it can help circumvent problems, since it resets permissions on the Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in place.
       
  2. Run gpotool.exe
     The GPO Verification Tool checks the consistency of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) between the Sysvol- and Active Directory (AD)-based portions of GPOs and checks GPO replication. When problems are identified, these can be fixed before migration.

  Also, after migration, check proper replication using gpotool.exe and repadmin.exe.
