Locked Element Not Found error when using Shadow Copies on a cluster

We have a 2-node Windows 2008 R2 64bit cluster and like to use Shadow Copies.
The cluster has 2 local disks and 4 LUN on a SAN.
If we try to use the Settings button on the Shadow Copies tab of a (LUN) drive we encounter the following error:

Failed to initialize the Settings dialog for volume F:\.
    Error 0x80070490: Element not found.

It does this on both cluster nodes and on the Shadow Copies tab of all disks (local and LUN).

The same error when using VSSADMIN on the command prompt to create shadow storage with:
    vssadmin Add ShadowStorage /For=F: /On=I: /MaxSize=20%

    Resulting in:
Error: Unexpected failure: Element not found.

Does anybody know what the problem is?

    Sincerely,
    GHZBeheer
