Thanks in advanced for any help.  I'm asking here instead of in the VMware forums because I figure if someone wanted to do it this way it would more than likely be Windows Server users.

My question is, if anyone knows how to setup the virtual app or virtual folder so it can be used in IIS7 instead of Tomcat.  I would like to disable tomcat's service, 1 so there will be less steps in troubleshooting for me, and 2 because I think its unnecessary since I do have IIS 7 running on the same host and I'd like to use just that.  The Host is Server 2008 R2 and IIS 7.5.  If anyone can give me the steps or lead me to some instructions I would greatly appreciate it.

I do know that there is Hyper-V R2, but the CPU on this host doesn't support Virtualization, unless someone can point me to how to install the roll without that support.

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

According to your description, I understand that you want to know how to setup the virtual app or firtual folders in IIS7.5 instead of Tomcat.

As this type of issue is more related to IIS configuration, I would like to suggest you initiate a new thread in our officially IIS form for better and accurate answer to the question. The community members and support professionals there are more familiar with IIS configuration and can help you in an efficient way.

For your convenience, I have list the forum link below:

    Hi,

On July 1st  we will be making Windows Server 2008 R2 Web Technologies forum read only. After receiving a lot of feedback from the community, it was decided that this forum is a duplication and therefore redundant of the Official Microsoft IIS Forums. So, until July 1st, we will start asking customers to redirect their questions to the Official Microsoft IIS Forums Forum.

Please post a reply to the announcement thread if you have any feedback on this decision or the process. You can also email WSSDComm@microsoft.com.

    Regards,

    Wilson Jia
