if its anything like the windows 8 customer preview i would say yes...
but best thing would be to just try it and find out.

I have not found any information from Microsoft indicating that Window Server 8 will support Bare Metal Restore to dissimilar hardware. If anyone comes across info from MSFT please post.
In lieu of MSFT officially supporting restore to dissimilar hardware, I intend to purchase 3<sup>rd</sup> party software (e.g. Acronis or Symantec).
