problems updating windows 2012 server

  Hi,

  Please try the following steps to fix this issue. 

  If you want to resolve this issue please run the following command.

  1.     Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and select Run as administrator.

  2.     In the Command Prompt window you will need to type the following, and press ENTER:

  fsutil resource setautoreset true C:\

  3.     Note: You will need to replace the C:\ with the drive letter that Windows is installed on.

  4.     Restart your computer, and then attempt to install the failed update(s).

  I've already been through that page and found it most unhelpful.

  The automatically diagnose windows updates problems is not compatable with server 2012.

  I'm at the particular point on that web page where it says goto microsoft and seek answers...

  I tried this with no success. The fsutil ran as expected, the system rebooted, but I still cannot install the updates.

  Any other ideas?

  If it still won't go, issues with installing security updates are a free call to Microsoft.

  Install S2008R2 and you won't have these problems.
