Help Please....
I've tried UNSUCCESSFULLY installing every eval copy of Server 2012 because ea version requires a Product Key...of which I can't seem to locate. Does anyone have a workable product key for any Server 2012 version?
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.
The Windows Server 2012 Standard and Windows Server 2012 Datacenter evaluation editions come with the activation key pre-installed.
For detail information, we can check the link below:

Have a nice day.

Kevin, first "Thanks for responding". Now let me say that I've tried both Standard & Datacenter versions. In ea instance I was asked to input a product code, of course I didn't have one so I continued w/ the install. At some point further in the install things stopped due to my not having provided a valid product code / key.
Could it be that the trial versions ARE NOT workable w/ any VMWare players ? Which is exactly what I am trying to do, i.e., create a Server 2012 virtual machine. Do you know if this is allowed? Maybe that's the difference, which I don't understand why. To me the OS either contains a pre-activated key or not...regardless of being a VM.

Hi,
Thank you for clarifying the issue for us.
There can actually be some compatible issue between Windows Server 2012 Evaluation and VMware.
We can see others having the same problem:
(Win2012 not installing on VMware Workstation 9
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserver8setup/thread/31a3df11-6ee4-47e2-a03b-fc410f5a5411)
In this situation, I suggest we use Hyper-V or try some other third-party virtual machine.
Have a nice day.
