Unanswered Windows server 2012 Active Directory Domain Service and DNS issues

    I am not able to open Active Directory Administrative center! It gives the following error:"Cannot connect to any domain. REfresh or try again when connection is available."

    When Trying DNS it gives the following error:" The server AD1 could not be contacted. The error was access denied. Would you like to add it anyway?"

    So can any one help solving this issue.

    Sounds like you do not have a connection to your domain controller.  You did not provide any information about your configuration, so it is a bit difficult to offer any detailed assistance.  Are you trying to run this on a domain controller, or are you trying to access across the network?  Are you running as a user or as a domain administrator?  Is your DNS integrated with Active Directory?  Lots of missing details.

    I am trying to access it  across the network i am not even able to add a computer to the domain. i am running as a domain administrator. The DNS is integrated with Active directory. It seems like the Domain controller is not available. Did any one had an issue like this? Because i am having so much trouble since yesterday.

    Again, it sounds like a network connectivity issue.  Can you contact the host machine on which AD is running?  Can you ping it?  Can you remote desktop into it?  If you don't have a network connection to the machine, you won't be able to add new machines to it, nor will you be able to run AD utilities.  Start with the basics and let us know what you have done to test your basic network connectivity.

    I can ping it without no problem, I even do remote desktop! THere is no problem on connectivity side.From the Server Opening Administrative center i get the error message"Cannot connect to any domain. Refresh or try again when connection is available". I can't even open DNS Service: The Server (My server name) cannot be contacted,the error was access denied. I am logged as administrator.

    Please does any on has an idea on how to solve this problem? I think it was caused by a deployment of new Kaspersky End point Security 10. in our newtork.

    Hi,

    After promote your server to domain controller dns has been changed (127.0.0.1). Could you please verify DNS is correct on NIC setup?

    I tried that and changed the DNS to the IP of the Server, but still not working
