Boot driver for Windows Server 2012 Essentials

My question is concerning changing boot drivers on Server 2012 Essentials. There is a Windows 7 script that allows resetting the registry to rescan the boot mode for chanmges to the BIOS configuration. ex: After you use the BIOS setup of a Windows 7-based computer or a Windows Vista-based computer to change the Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) mode of the boot drive to use either the Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) specification or redundant array of independent disks (RAID) features
This registry utility works great - is there a similar one for server 2012

I did not find specific steps for Windows Server 2012 Essentials. Here is a thread for Windows 8 however the OP said it is finally resolved by a full reset:
