Pretty much what the error says. The machine could not find a path to the domain controller. How is the network configured on your client? Does it have DNS gateway that can find your domain controller? If this is truly over the internet (wow! security alarms going off all over the place unless you have a secured VPN over the internet), do you have your firewall set up with the proper ports open to allow domain access from the internet?tim

Hi,
On your Windows Server 2012, you have installed the role AD but have you promoted your server like DC ?
MCITP SERVER 2008 Enterprise Administrator - MCITP Windows 7 Administrator - MCTS Exchange 2010 - CCNA - CCNP

Hi,
Thank you for the post.
Please check the DNS server and verified the DNS Name server information was correct. You may open cmd on the client machine and try pinging the DNS server see if it works. Then performed nslookup, ensure it is able to resolve the DNS server name correctly.
