    Hi this may not be the right forum? if not sorry.

    But I have a Dell R510, and I am trying my first 2012 install, I get to the pick a disk\partition part and there a a few partitions already there, there is 300Gb RAID 1 which I want to install to, with a few before this that are Dell partions, if I pick the 300Gb windows says it can`t install on this partion as it is GPT type partition? if I try to format it I get a warning it may contain OEM files are you sure you want to format??

    Do I format this? is it the right partition?

    Hi,

    Please make sure that you have the OEM operating system installation disk or a backup for Dell R510. Otherwise, you need to ask Dell for a OEM operating system installation disk before formatting this partition.

    In order to avoid any unexpected problem, you’d better contact Dell to confirm what content are included in this partition.
