I am considering replacing Secure Path with MPIO to take advantage of Active/Active controller configuration and online disk firmware updates.    Our current configuration looks like this:

Node 1 – Windows 2003 Server, Enterprise Edition, Cluster Member A, Secure Path 4, Fibre Channel HBA connected to EVA3000
Node 2 – Windows 2003 Server, Enterprise Edition, Cluster Member B, Secure Path 4, Fibre Channel HBA connected to EVA3000
Appliance Manager - Windows 2000, VCS 3.028, Command View EVA 6.0.2

HP says to unpresent the LUNs, remove Secure Path, install MPIO, then re-present the LUNs.  Is this approach valid in a cluster situation?  I am concerned about the disk signatures not be correct after presenting the disks back to the cluster members.
