I could figure out that services/applications are equivalent to groups in 2k3. I could also reach as far as the Failover tab for service/application properties. But the options on the Failover tab are completely different. For example, I could not figure out how to set the THRESHOLD. Similarly, the options for the Resource properties are vastly different in Win2k8. And, I am not able to find any documentation around this.Sat, 04 Jul 2009 15:53:25 Z2009-07-04T15:53:25Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverClustering/thread/68a94045-ba4f-47e1-a8b3-8b1201041e6a#d1e0e9e4-28af-494c-8dda-f55c9834bae4http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverClustering/thread/68a94045-ba4f-47e1-a8b3-8b1201041e6a#d1e0e9e4-28af-494c-8dda-f55c9834bae4Edwin vMierlohttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Edwin%20vMierloTesting a Group Failover Policy on Windows Server 2008well Threshold is still there, it is now called "Maximum failures in specified period"

but before changing it, have a read of this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950804

HTH,
Edwin.
Mon, 06 Jul 2009 10:19:15 Z2009-07-06T10:19:15Zhttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverClustering/thread/68a94045-ba4f-47e1-a8b3-8b1201041e6a#02ce4b04-9c79-435f-b936-b359d5826a7ehttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverClustering/thread/68a94045-ba4f-47e1-a8b3-8b1201041e6a#02ce4b04-9c79-435f-b936-b359d5826a7eNitin Mehrotra - MSFThttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Nitin%20Mehrotra%20-%20MSFTTesting a Group Failover Policy on Windows Server 2008Thanks again Edwin.
