Quorum Disk - Which Cluster Group Should It Belong To

Hi all, I need some help on my quorum disk configuration in a four-node 2008R2 hyper-v cluster. Here goes: We have a 10gig disk defined on the SAN for the quorum disk. It was set up in the cluster and it is labeled 'Disk Q:\'. We set the Cluster Quorum configuration up as Disk and Node majority and selected Disk Q:\ as the quorum disk. When you look in the Server Manager/Failover Cluster Manager/ClusterName/Storage section, you see Disk Q:\ listed under Disk Witness in Quorum. This all looks good. I ran the Validate a Cluster wizard and it reports that 'The "Cluster Group" does not contain a File Share Witness or a Witness disk". So at cmd prompt, I run 'cluster group' and it lists a group named 'Quorum' which is a Physical Disk. When I look at Services and Applications, there's a Service listed there named 'Quorum' with a type of 'Other'. From what I read, the quorum disk should be part of the "Cluster Group" and not defined as a seperate quorum group. So the question(s) I have is: (1) Can i somehow move the quorum disk into the "cluster group" and how do you do it? (2)Should I delete the 'Quorum' service from the Services and applications list? I wonder how 'Quorum' got set up as a seperate cluster group named Quorum and didn't just integrate itself into the "cluster group"?. Any feedback on this greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello,
My suggestion is delete witness from the Services and Applications list. Turn back to Node majority.
The witness disk will become to Available Storage.
Then choose again Node and Disk Majority. Choose the Witness disk in available storage.
It will become to Cluster Group.

Hi,
Please check the following guide to change the quorum configuration to see whether you can resolve the issue.
