QuestionWindows 2008 R2 Cluster Validation fails on Fibre Channel

I'm trying to create a cluster with 2 VM's connected to shared storage via iSCSI. When I run the validation, it fails on inventory, specifically it gets an error trying to detect the Fibre Channel adapters. Well... I don't have any Fibre Channel adapters. If I dont select that test, it tells me that Microsoft wont support it because it hasn't passed all validation tests.

    What's the deal?

Here is the snip from the validation test

Gathering Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter information for fileclst-01.domain.lan
An error occurred while executing the test.
There was an error getting information about the Fibre Channel controllers installed on the nodes.
There was an error retrieving information about the Fibre Channel host bus adapters from node 'fileclst-01.domain.lan'.
    Invalid object

    Hi,

It seems this is caused by the incompatible Fibre Channel controller driver. Please contact its manufacturer to obtain the latest driver and then check the result.

    Hope it helps.

I have the same problem on a two node failover cluster (6.0.6001) in VMWare (ESX).  I ran the validation tool from both nodes and get different results for the same machine.

Here are the results from the active node xDev2.x:

List Fibre Channel host bus adapters on each node.

Here are the results from the passive node:

Is there a resolution to this.  Can it be ignored if there is no Fibre Channel.

    Thanks,
    Randy

Can you check to which adapter the id belongs to. Maybe it is hidden?

I did not find that ID in the registry.  Perhaps the format is not the same.  I looked in the device manager, but did not see what it could be.  How do I find the unique adapter id?
