Active Directory user migration domain name list issue.

Hi All,
I have the forest architecture like below.
Root domain & six child domains. User are moveing regularly from every locations so I am getting User migration ticket regularly. I am using ADMT 3 (in 2003) & ADMT 3.1 (in 2008).
Now problem is when I am migrating users from one child domain to another child domain; one of the child domain is not showing in source an target domain list. Mentioned a snap as well.
I typed the domain name manually & completed the migration. Wondering why some domains name is not showing in those list? I have installed the ADMT(3 & 3.1) in 7/8 DCs but result seems same. Long back I have seen a tread & solution is reinstall the ADMT but when I have installed the ADMT in a another DC the same result that same child domain is not showing the list. nslookup seems ok . DNS replication scope is forestwide.
DFL is 2003 & FFL is 2003. Dcs are 2003 & 2008( Non R2), schema version is 44.
Please let me know if you need more info for solving this issue.

You should not install ADMT on DC it should be on member server in target domain. However ensure that dns is set correctly for child domain as below.

There is no issue in DNS.

I confirm the same results when I've been doing migrations in the past, but it always work typing in the domain name manually so I haven't looked in to it, but a guess from my side is that ADMT uses the browser service to obtian a list of domains. (By default Computer Browser service is disabled in Windows Server 2008) dose it change if you enable this service on your Windows Server 2008 DCs?
I guess you should get the same result in ADMT as calling NetServerEnum with SV_TYPE_DOMAIN_ENUM

The configuration seems to be ok if you are not facing issue with other child domain but some times reinstall do the trick. Here is the similar article where manaully entring the child domain name in sorce/target domain works.
Why would ADMT 3.2 not see a child domain
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverMigration/thread/9d594f83-59fe-4180-8e62-d52e7c4ab4a6However why you are installing ADMT on DC it should be on member server you can try the same and see how does it work.

There can be some reasons on why you really want to run ADMT on a DC for instance 3.2 where automation/scripting is only allowed/available if ADMT runs on a DC, Note: The database dosen't have to run on a DC.Enfo Zipper

I need to raise a CM for installing the ADMT 3.2 in a member server & will update you accordingly. Only DCs are in my scope :)
Thanks for the updates.
