Can someone recommend a good free/share ware Active Directory reporting tool for AD/exchange reporting? I need to generate AD reports on demand showing which users belong to all distribution groups in Exchange. Any recommendations would be very much appreciated.

Powershell is a scripting language (and more) that allows you to build your own reports for Active Directory. One of the benefits is how easy it is to learn. It is not installed on Server 2003 by default, but can be installed on your workstation to run the scripts from. You can also download the Quest Active Directory tools to make things even easier. A sample script would look something like this:
Add-PSSnapin Quest.ActiveRoles.Management $Groups = Get-QADGroups * $Groups | Format-Table Name,Members -Auto | Out-File GroupsReport.txt

Try Dsget and dsquery utility. run the below command.
dsget group "<DN of the group>" -members
You can use PowerShell (easier with 2008 R2 cmdlets):
Get-ADGroupMember "Group Name" | Get-ADUser | Select-Object Name, mail | Export-Csv -Path "C:\Temp\Output.csv" -NoTypeInformation
