    Hi,

I am currently in the middle of cleaning up our Active Directory as it hasn't been maintained properly by the previous members of my team and have come into a bit of a problem (also, potentially a rather high risk security issue).

As a standard, when a new security group is created with permissions to a location on our data drives, we state what data drive and/or folder(s) this group has access to in the description.

It seems that this standard hasn't been kept up with and there are now plenty of security groups in our Active Directory without descriptions.

Is there a way for me to find out what data drives and/or folder(s) certain security groups have access to?

I have seen some 3rd party software available that claims to do be able to this, but i very hestitant to use such an application without trying an "official" alternative first.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    rsnooks.
