AnswerHow to reset XP toolbars

What registry key or file holds the info on what toolbars are shown and which aren't?  I have a user that must have had a registry hack or GPO applied at some point, because when right clicking across the task bar at the bottom, he doesn't have the ToolBars option to re-enable his quick launch toolbar.  Is that stored in a reg key or file somewhere?  is there a GPO setting also?

I'm trying to avoid deleting his profile and recreating it to fix this.

Have you tried the repair tool from Kelly's Korner http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/taskbarplus!.htm?

    Hi,

If the Taskbar repair tool cannot solve the problem, please try to collect the following information for research:

    1.    Run "gpresult /v >>c:\gp.txt" on XP client, please use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the file and then give me the download address.
    2.    On DC, open GPMC, right-click Group Policy Result, choose Group Policy Result Wizard, follow the wizard to collect a report of the Windows 7 system. When it finish, right-click in the right-panel, choose Save Report, and use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the file and then give us the download address.

    Thanks.

Yeah, I should be ok, i think its more a GPO problem or registry hack somewhere.  Thanks.
