Would like to ask if IE 10 group policy still available in windows server 2008 (not r2)? I just checked now that it only works on a group policy preferences. However, I could only create new policy in IE7 on our server. Can IE 10 still be available for our AD? Thanks a lot.

IE 10 was released to manufacturing along with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. IE 10 Preview works on Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, but not Windows Server 2008.
Please have a look at:

So to sum it up, we can no longer apply policies for IE10 with our current Infra? How sad. Any work around you might suggest?

Sorry, it seems I have misunderstood your question before. You mean you want to apply IE policy settings to IE 10 in a Windows Server 2008 domain, right?
If so, yes you can, but don't apply Internet Explorer Maintenance(IEM) settings to IE 10, use Group Policy Preferences instead. IEM has been deprecated from Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.

Yes I want to apply IE10 settings in a windows server 2008 domain. Can you help me on how to add IE10 settings? Upon checking the server, it is limited to IE 5,6 and 7 only.

I tried running the commands below from the 2008 r2 server command promp but i receive an error on the step "FOR /F %i IN (c:\temp\admx\admx.txt) DO copy %i c:\temp\admx\PolicyDefinitions\". It says the file cannot be found. I have the same options available for ie6 and ie7 in my GPO. Any clues to help resolve this?
I am only trying to get access to ie9 as we do not have any computers running Windows 8.
