    Good afternoon,

We are just in the process of testing laptops with Windows 7 and Windows 2008 R2 server. Our SOE image contains Flash & Shockwave players but these plugins will not work with multiple users. If the plugins are installed how to do we enable these plugins to work for any website via group policy?

    Regards,

    Mark

    Thanks for the reply.

I believe the issue was related to IE 8 security. I have lowered security to Medium low and ActiveX - Flash / Shockwave is working. I will read up about the article you posted.

    Again. Thanks

    Mark,
Typically when the plug ins are installed with the right configuration and privileges, they should function for all users of the system. Group Policy is typically used to centrally control and automate a client side action. Is there a specific action that you can perform manually to allow the plugins to work for a new user or for multiple users?

Does the plugin work for any user? how is the plugin installed on the image?

    Hi Mark,

For many existing and future Microsoft ActiveX controls, Internet Explorer 8 removes administrative involvement from the installation process. Non-administrative ActiveX controls (or per-user ActiveX installation) is available on Windows Vista and later.
