Replication between Domain Controllers was not successful

Environment:
Domain name: DC54.local
Operating System: Windows 2008 32 bit
Domain Controllers: 2 (Redundant)
Our job nature is to restore System image very frequently to check latest Microsoft patches.
Explanation:
Installation of Domain was successful & it is running till now without any issues (domain started 2 years back, but replication was not successful from last few months. For last few months, after every Acronis restore, we are facing Domain replication error . To solve this we removed Secondary domain controller using command ” dcpromo” & re join it/ This solves replication errors, but do we have any other solution to solve Domain replication?
