I am also experiencing the same problem. Whenever I close any browser(not only IE but also firefox, chrome, opera) msg box pops up sayin that browser has "stopped working" and the browser restarts....

Also after some time windows error reporting shows that "DEP has closed the program"

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for your post here.

From the description, it seems that DEP (Data Execution Prevention) terminates the browser. DEP works alone or with compatible microprocessors to mark some memory locations as "non-executable." If a program tries to run code from a protected location, DEP closes the program and notifies you, whether the code is malicious or not.

To this issue, please make sure that the computer is virus free and there is not any malware that may activate the DEP. Please also check how it works if you disable all add-ons on Internet Explorer. If the computer is free from any virus, malware and spyware, you may safely turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only.

You receive a "Data Execution Prevention" error message in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or in Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
