Cluster Migration 2008R2 to 2012 With New SAN

We have a 2008R2 HyperV Cluster Setup
We just purchased new boxes and new storage with newly created LUN's that match the LUN sizes of the source 2008R2 cluster.
The new boxes are setup as a 2012 Failover Cluster all the networks and storage are configured identically to the 2008R2
How do i go about to migrate the 2008R2 VM's to the new Cluster. I want to migrate the resources as well as the VHD files.
When i right click on the 2012 Cluster and select More Actions and MIGRATE ROLES i can see my old cluster and the machines (resources) in it. But when i move a VM it only moves the resource info and NOT the actual files that are on the LUN.
Do i need to copy the files via explorer first?

Hello,
even if this forum is about migration i think the clustering experts in http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/winserverClustering/threads are the better source for your questions.
