My company has a program written in Unix-C on a Sun box running Solaris
The client has asked that we convert it to run under Windows Server 2008 running VMWare
Is there documentation describing how to recompile a progrm in Unix-c for use under Windows Server 8; i.e. Is there a c-compiler for Windows Server 2008???

No, I don't really think that Microsoft does not provide such documentation.
You have to contact the program developer Technical support for assistance.
