Can't see my SBS 2003 server on LAN - But I can logon to domain
-
Wednesday, January 13, 2010 8:34 PMHi everyone,
This morning we had a "CONFIG file corrupted or missing..." on the server screen.
Did the repair as mentionned with the CD and Repair, chkdisk /p....
Server came back OK and in working condition, we did try to use Last Known Good Boot ....
Since then, LAN clients can logon onto domain on the server
But, Clients can't ping or see domain Server over LAN (Network Places, Microsoft Windows, see our domain, and see all workstations but not the server!)
Server can ping clients stations and printers on the LAN.
All client stations can access the internet, as well as server
I've uninstalled NIC from server and reinstalled it to refresh drivers and TCP/IP bindings, no change
Server SBS 2003 R2 Premium with SQL (IP 192.168.1.2)
1 network card only on server, connected to a 24-port switch, linked to Wifi router (IP 192.168.1.1 Gateway/DNS) and cable modem
All IPs on LAN are fixed, DHCP disabled from router.
All clients are Windows XP Pro SP2 or SP3
So now we can't use our main app since server in some ways doesn't seem to be accessible
What part am I missing, any service corrupted I can't detect ?
