    Hi,

    I have problem with Win 2008 RRAS server and Alcatel IP phone. Here is drawing for better understand:

    My problem is that user from LAN1 can't hear user from LAN2 but user from LAN2 hear user from LAN1 without any problem. I haven't any problem If I use Win 2003 RRAS, everything works well. What is different in Win 2008 RRAS?

    Hi PetrASI,

    Thanks for posting here.

    The RRAS program basically is same on both platforms . If the routing on RRAS is correct then have we checked the Windows firewall settings on it (inbound and outbound rules of each interface)? Or maybe we can just test by temporarily disable Windows built-in firewall and see how is going :

    Hi Tiger Li,

    thanks for reply.

    I tried disable Windows Firewall but without success.

    But yesterday I found, that same problem was on 2003 RRAS server but on 2003 RRAS server with installed ISA is everything work fine.

    So ISA have some app filter which can remap RTP port or what? Because if I installed Win 2008 with TMG I have same problem like before. For now is Win 2003 with ISA 2006 only one function solution.

    Thanks for posting here.

    So what if we set the RRAS server without ISA/TMG and any packet filter on it , will that work?

    If this issue will only occur after we setup TMG/ISA on it then I’d suspect ISA/TMG may the root cause of this issue and will suggest post to ISA/TMG forum in order to get a method to set the rules and policies which will allow individual traffics to pass through .
