    Hello Genius,

I have two Windows 2008 R2 servers seperated in different locations and have setup an Internet VPN between them using a persistant RRAS connection.  Most times that the incoming connection server gets restarted then the dialing or connecting server gets stuck with the status of "Connecting".  I have to manually disconnect the dialer and then connect again for the connection to be made.  Is there a way to monitor this connection status for "Connecting" on long periods of time and restart the dial?

    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi Mr Calico,

    Thanks for posting here.

Have we set the redial intervals in the properties of this demand-dial connection?

Configure a Persistent Connection or a Disconnect Interval

    Hello Tiger,

Thank you for your response.  The Redail attempts are currently set to 0.  I assumed in this case it won't solve the problem unless the connection status goes back to disconnected.  In my case it is attempting to connect and gets stuck without an error indefiently and never returns to the disconnected state.  I'll try setting a redial attempt and interval and see if it makes any difference.
