Hello,
I’m facing a problem with on of the Windows 2008 R2 Server Standard x64 Edition Build 7600 is unable to access the share on windows 2003 server. Server is able to ping with name and IP. Getting error as network path not found.
This is typical issue we are facing with the server. The Acronis backup runs on this server and backs up to the shares which are shared on windows server 2003. During incremental it runs perfectly. Over the week end a full volume backup runs after backup completes successfully, server is unable to access the share. Every week we need to reboot it . Once after rebooting the server, its again able to access the share.
Is there any fix or patch is available to resolve this issue.
Can you please provide some solution for this .

Hi,
Thank you for your post.
Please try to patch KB2194664 to update Mrxsmb10.sys file when:
1. Windows 2008 R2 server could access Windows 2003 server by using another naming convention of the server(IP address/FQDN/server name)
2. Other servers could access Windows 2003 share folder without problemIf there are more inquiries on this issue, please feel free to let us know.
