I've installed the RDS Broker  on Server 2012. However in Server Manager, I'm not offered the option to configure. Instead it says, A Remote Desktop Services deployment does not exist in the server pool. Also on the event logs I have An Error Occurred in the service broker manager, error 3602, state 145.

The only portion of RDS that I need on this sever is the RDS Broker. I need some ideas here.

    thanks, Amy

    Hi,

I suggest you uninstall this RDS connection broker, and try to install the RDCB using the installation type "Remote Desktop Services installation" instead of "role-based or feature-based installation".So,you can deploy smoothly using"Virtual Machine based deployment" or " Session-based desktop deployment" wizard.

    Clarence,

I'm not following you. Could you tell me where the "Remote Desktop Services installation" is located? I'm only seeing options to install it through the roles.

Actually I think I see what you mean. I select the new deployment and it asks me to select the broker, licensing, web and session servers. When I choose my existing session host servers it says that the are not qualified because they are not running server 2012. It will not allow me to continue without adding a 2012 session host.

    thanks, Amy

2012 RDSH is not recommended installing individually.Pls uninstall this 2012 session host, and then install it thru the wizard on the RDCB using the installation type "Remote Desktop Services installation".
