    Good Morning All,

I have been happily loading up a Windows Server 2008 R2 box with apps and publishing them via the RemoteApp Manager, I was changing an icon in the Remote App Properties dialog box and got an error after clicking ok, the error message was "A critical component cannot be loaded. The operation completed successfully." I now receive this error message every time I open the RemoteApp Manager and no RemoteApp programs are listed.

I have restarted the server, uninstalled the last few applications that were installed. The only thing I can think of is that I have somehow stored an illegal character in the icon path field or something similar and I am at a loss as to what to do or where to find this.

    Nevermind I fixed it

    In the registry navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Terminal Server\TSAppAllowList\Applications

This is the list of applications in the RemoteApp MMC View, I deleted the last application I was editing when I received the error from this list in the registry and I can now open the RemoteApp MMC again. I couldnt actually see anything wrong with any of the keys for the App, but deleting it worked so there must have been something wrong there.

Hope this helps someone as I couldn't find anything about that error on the search engines.

    Cheers - Pagey
