MS TS Licenses & Citrix

Hi
I have been asked to look at other options to manage Citrix access other than AD Security groups.
This is because MS want the company to charge a TS license for all users instead of just the ones that use Citrix!!!
I am using Citrix XenApp 5 and W2K3 AD
What should I be looking for?
Cheers, M

I'm afraid we're not the best support resource for this questin and it is recommended to ask Citrix support for the XenApp licensing questions.
Based on my known, XenApp needs Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services) CAL as the prerequisite. Please refer to the following pages from Citrix Website:

If you have any questions about Microsoft's licensing, you can call 1-800-426-9400, Monday through Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. (Pacific Time) to speak directly to a Microsoft licensing specialist, and you can get more detail information from there. Worldwide customers can use the Guide to Worldwide Microsoft Licensing Sites to find contact information in their locations.

Hi,
A Per User or Per Device RDS CAL (your choice) is required for each user/device that will use your Citrix server(s) to host an application/desktop regardless if you use AD or not. If you choose Per User licensing you only need a Per User RDS CAL for each user that runs an app/desktop on your Citrix server. For example, if you have 100 users in your company and only 20 people total will use your Citrix servers then you only need 20 Per User RDS CALs.
RDS licensing is not concurrent so you must have a Per User RDS CAL for each user that will use your servers regardless of how many will use them at any one time. If you choose Per Device RDS CALs then you must have a Per Device RDS CAL for each client device.
