Windows Store Remote Desktop app & IME, how does it supposed to work?

Especially when I use a touch keyboard with IME enabled on Surface RT.
It seems the most sane way is to always use the English keyboard on the client (local) side, then invoke IME in the host (remote).
What happens if I invoke IME on the client side to try to send a unicode character to Notepad in the host? What is expected to happen in the host?

Hi,
Thanks for your post.
The terminal server client determines the keyboard layout by sending the current keyboard layout. In your situation, update the specific IME on the Terminal server. Or as you mentioned, set English as default IME on Terminal client and change it inside the session.
Best Regards,
Aiden
