Is there anyway to copy the functionality of Remote Web Workplace to a Windows 2003 Standard domain? If not, do you know of any alternative software that provides similar functionality?

    Thanks,
    Chase

    Hi Chase,

This forum is intended for Window Server 2008 questions, for 2000 & 2003 questions, I'd suggest posting to the Terminal Server newsgroup:http://www.microsoft.com/technet/community/newsgroups/dgbrowser/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.terminal_services

That said, I don't believe Remote Web Workplace is available Server 2003 standard, however, there is a very similar functionality provided in 2008 called TS Web Access: http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver2008/en/library/95258ce8-5ddd-42cb-9e95-cec19ef4f43d1033.mspx?mfr=true

    Thanks,

    Drew

Take a look at SSL Explorer.  It is an open source SSL VPN product.  There is a free community version and a pay for support / extra features Enterprise version.  The community version will likely fill your needs if Remote Web Workplace is adequate.  It is even available as a virtual machine package that runs in the VMWare player.  It allows you to do remote desktop, web app proxy, etc.  Pretty cool product, a bit more configuration needed than setting up RWW but it has good documentation and some flash based basic configuration demos on the web site.
