    Hi,

I need to know how can i find the redirection setting in RDCB Windows Server 2012 VDI, cause I need to connect my personal VM from Wyse client app in ipad.

The Wyse client app just can connect the server address, so in Windows Server 2008 R2, I always set the RDCB as the link address, and the RDCB will redirect my request to the personal VM.

Now in Windows Server 2012, I find there is no way to set the redirection.

    Hi,

In server 2008r2,you need to create one RDSH for VM redirection if you are using VDI.In server 2012,RDCB has changed a lot compared to server 08r2.There is no Farm conception.Instead, we use the collection conception. We don't need to use the DNS RR or VM redirection to connection to the destination server or VM. All is dependent on the RDCB SQL DB.I don't know Wyse client app in IPAD whether to be supported in the Server 2012 platform. It is likely not supported. The recommended clients are win 8 and RDP 8.

To manage user connection, once a collection has been created and virtual desktops have been added to the collection, users will be able to connect to the collection and virtual desktops by logging on to the RDWeb page or by subscribing to the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feed. If the user subscribes to the feed then the applications will appear on the Start menu of their Windows client machine.

So, are you saying you're trying to tell it to connect to the server name of your 2012 Connection Broker and it doesn't redirect? I'm pretty sure that if I RDP to my 2012 Connection Broker server name from a Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC, and sign in with a username that has a personal desktop assigned, it redirects me to the VM. If I connect using my Administrator account without an assigned personal desktop, it tells me there are no desktops in the pool to connect to. I have to use "servername /admin" in RDP if I want to connect to the actual Connection Broker server.

Also, are you talking about Wyse PocketCloud? If it's anything like Wyse ThinOS on their thin clients, it doesn't yet understand the "pooled" method of connection that 2012 VDI uses even for personal (not pooled) virtual desktop. Specifically, it doesn't understand the "loadbalanceinfo:s:tsv" line in the RDP file. Not sure how this comes into play when connecting directly to the Connection Broker and getting redirected.

    Hi, Ryan

I refer the case you post in Wyse forum:

    http://community.wyse.com/forum/showthread.php?9800-Connecting-R10L-to-Microsoft-VDI-(Personal-Virtual-Desktop

After that, I first chance the setting in the RDCB and inputing the TSV address, as you can see, the win7-vdipool2 is my collection name.

After that, I try to connect from mstsc, input RDCB IP Address, everything is OK.

But if i set the the RDCB computer name not ip address, it does not work.
