I've just purchased a technet subscription, and am testing Terminal Services in my environment. Am I able to generate CaL's using Microsoft Technet, or is this not possible?
If your license server doesn't have CALs already installed and your Client connects to TS poiting to that license server, then you will get a temporary CAL. This temp CAL is valid upto 90 days. After that to make a connection to TS you need to have CALs installed on your license server which you need to buy.
For testing you can download the evaluation copy of the Server Software and test it up to 180 (or sometimes even more) days. For CAL's you have 120 days to activate the server and then about 89 with the temporary licenses when your users can still log in.Citrix Technology Professional, PubForum.net Founder

Thanks for that, so.. I have the full retail version of Windows Server Enterprise 2008, but am just missing CaL's. So to get these I actually have to purchase them?
