It seems that after installing some patches to Hyper-V Core, the windows firewall service will not start, I've narrowed it down to the MPSDRV service that is not started, but that seems to have no dependencies yet it is saying it is disabled, or has nothing associated with it. It's not disabled, file and folder permissions along with registry keys seem fine, and it's not listing any dependencies.

I've compared registries with a working hyper-v, I've run SFC /scannow, which seems fine.. in fact, I've tried about everything I can think of. Anyone got any ideas?

    Hi,

Have you tried to use net start command to start the service? By the way, did you get any errors in Event Viewer on the Hyper-V Core computer?
