DFS Stand-alone Question

Our company has a stand-alone DFS namespace. We want to change to it to a domain-based namespace. Is this possible to do this without changing the namespace path?
For example if the current stand-alone DFS path is \\contoso.com\contosodfs
can we change this to a domain-based DFS path that is the same as the stand-alone path of \\contoso.com\contosodfs
The current stand-alone DFS is running on a Windows 2008 R2 server. We added a Windows Server 2012 domain controller to our domain and we would like to have this server host the domain-based DFS namespace.
Thank you.

Hi,
A stand-alone namespace should be named as \<namespace>\folder">\\<domain>\<namespace>\folder. Thus I'm afraid you will not able to have a same path.
For example, I have a domain named microsoft.com, and a server named "Asia".
A stand-alone namespace will be \\asia\root\HR, or \\asia.microsoft.com\root\HR, and a domain based namespace will be \\microsoft.com\root\HR.
