    OK

So I took some time this weekend to simulate this wholke issue on my home pc. I installed Windows server 2008 and configured a disk mirror. I then simulated a primary disk failure by unplugging the power off the primary disk. As it turns out when the pc boots up you must select the boot option to boot into the secondary plax and thats it. There is no startup disk required as was the case int the past. My pc just booted straight away into windows. I then set the secondary boot plex as my default OS at startup. Subsequent startups worked well. After 10 or restarts my pc came up with the missing bootmgr message. I was able to resolve this by using a windows vista CD which rapired the startup environment. I understand you can also use BCDEDIT.EXE to resolve this.

I guess I have answereed myself on this one.
