domain based DFS from 2003 to 2008 - same namespace and file servers

hi
i am upgrading AD 2003 R2 - DFL 2003 to AD 2008- in place upgrade - no changes in domain name or structure
i have 2008 ADCs in place running dns/dhcp
i installed DFS on them and added them as namespace servers
all shares are hosted on other file servers that will not change
the namespace and domain will remain
so once i transfer the master roles to my new 2008 DC i can just dcpromo the 2003 and that is it
anything to be done regarding DFS

You may want to consider migrating your domain based DFS namespace from 2003 to 2008 mode. Here is a helpful technet link

DFS will continue work fine after upgrading DFL. As Isaac mentioned, you could choose to upgrade to 2008 mode. Here is another article about this:
