I have a dynamic disk spanned over 5 "physical" HDDs (they are on the storage). None of them runs the OS.

I mount another virtual HD on a server configured as dynamic disk with 5 volumes. After that I cannot recover the correct 5 disks structure... show me as failed and when I click to reactive volume nothing happen.

I need to recover the files because some of them I dont have an update backup.  I already tried these softwares: Get Data Back, File Scavenger.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks!

what i beleave is the Storage raid configured with Hardware Raid and the server is software raid... as you change it to dynamic Disk

it seems the raid has broken...

so try by removing the add on HDD and restart the server,

    if still raid remains

still dont have any luck try recovery softwares to recover data ..

I'm using a san on wmware server what I'd mount my virtual disks.

On my server there is no raid configuration, only on my storage, but in this case windows doesnt know about.

This server was configured with 5 disks (extended little by little) and because the SAN I never configured the raid on windows.
